Les Consenheim
Les Consenheim, B.A. (Econ.), CIM®, FCSI® Portfolio Manager, Wealth Manager

We’re pretty sure that Les developed his straightforward, ‘never quit’ approach to life through a combination of coming of age in Vancouver followed by over 30 years of relentless pushing to be a better advisor.

After college and university, Les jumped straight into marriage, career and kids and never looked back. With a diploma in Finance and Investment, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, and a mortgage, it was time to get to work; this dual challenge of immense learning and the need to put food on the table was invaluable.

By 1992, at 28 years old, Les was already an independent advisor looking to build a practice that was client focused. Almost 30 years later, Les has never been so happy, focused and driven, not without a few learning experiences (ask about his time with the “corporate” side of wealth management).

Ensuring that the practice provides clients with the best wealth management advice available has always been Les’ primary goal.

To balance out his penchant for gourmet cooking, a great glass (or two) of wine and music, Les can be found punishing himself with any kind of fitness available (hockey, skiing, weight training, boot camp, hill running - to name a few). His wife Ester, as well as his kids, try not to make eye contact with him during the exercise period, but they’re always first in line for the food service.

Most recently, in 2020, Les helped with fundraising for the Kamloops Blazers Memorial Cup Anniversary Weekend with the proceeds going to KidSport. Prior to that, he carried out the same role for the Hockey Day in Kamloops celebration in 2015. Les served TRU for nine years on the foundation as a man of many chairs: he was the chair of the TRU Foundation Golf Tournament as well as the Chair of the Finance Committee, overseeing the $25 million TRU Foundation Endowment Fund, and acted as Vice Chair of the board. Prior to his time with TRU, Les worked with the KBIA and the Gur Singh Golf Tournament. The list goes on and will continue to grow.
